How to start a Vulnerability Scan

How do I start a scan of my devices?

If you’ve installed Qualys on your internal devices, you can initiate a vulnerability scan from a few different areas within the platform. 

The main location for managing scans is the Internal Vulnerability Scanning module. Here, you’ll be able to view the results of previous scans or start a new one by clicking the “Run a Scan” button in the top right corner. 

 

You can also launch a scan from the CE+ module while completing your assessment. Navigate to Cyber Compliance -> Cyber Essentials -> Section 7 – Internal Scanning, you’ll find the same “Run a Scan” button. 


Please note: the first scan may take up to 24 hours for results to appear on the platform. After that, subsequent scans should return results much more quickly.
